Welcome to the magical Whitsundays! A visit to the Whitsundays offers something for everyone, from a fun-filled, adventure-packed family holiday to a luxurious romantic escape just for the two of you. With so much natural beauty on our doorstep you can snorkel or scuba dive on the Great Barrier Reef, soak up the sun on Whitehaven Beach and sail around the Whitsunday Islands. Bordered by the Great Barrier Reef in the calm waters of the Coral Sea, the 74 tropical islands of the Whitsundays lie midway along Australia's Queensland coast.
Airlie Beach, on the Whitsunday Coast, is the vibrant hub of the region, and the gateway to the 74 islands - only eight of which are inhabited. The Whitsunday Coast region also spans from the beautiful beaches of Bowen in the north, to the inland township of Proserpine, to the golf greens of Laguna in the south.
From here, the Whitsundays are a natural gem to be discovered. Awe at the wonder that is Heart Reef. Sink your feet into the white, silica sands of world-famous Whitehaven Beach. Or simply set sail across the sparkling azure waters and explore the Islands of the Great Barrier Reef. It is up to you!
