Shute Harbour

Around 10 kilometres east of Airlie Beach is Shute Harbour, one of the boarding point for ferries to the island resorts and many charter boat operations. The large sheltered inlet, sprinkled with boats and flanked by steep, wooded banks, is a hive of marine activity.

Security parking facilities are available for those setting sail, with parking spaces for boat trailers as well as caravans and campervans.

For some stunning views of the harbour, the islands and channels of the Whitsunday Passage, take the drive to the top of Coral Point, the headland overlooking the harbour.
