Cedar Creek Falls

Cedar Creek Falls (large)

GET OFF THE BEATEN TRACK!
Staff at Tourism Whitsundays LOVE Cedar Creek Falls ! It’s best seen in the wet season when its beauty rivals that of any of Queensland ’s more famous waterfalls. The swimming hole is freshwater, the rainforest is green as green can be and the little walks around the falls will delight any child or child-at-heart! At present, the only way to get there is to drive yourself, so it’s a little off the beaten track from the regular tourist haunts.

Located 19 kilometres from Proserpine on Conway Beach Road is the picturesque Cedar Creek Falls. These falls are spectacular in the wet season and offer a year-round natural swimming pool at the base of the falls. They are set in a natural rock amphitheature. The flora and fauna will amaze you, particularly the strangler figs, red and white cedars and wild orchids. There are also bush walks up and around the falls. Majestic Alexandra palms line the creek as it continues its journey to the ocean.

Please note that jumping or diving off the waterfall is strictly prohibited.
